The annual Earth Day celebration returns to Discovery Green this weekend, offering Houstonians a chance to enjoy the outdoors while getting familiar with the city's natural environment and the climate challenges it faces.
The Downtown Houston park centerpiece will hold a showing of short films in the afternoon, where visitors can learn more about the city's environment, while a panel discussion at 4pm will examine the causes of the February freeze, and what can be done to protect vulnerable populations (the panel will also be livestreamed virtually).
